Mobilegeddon is the latest in a long line of Google’s major algorithm updates. As with any update, it has webmasters in a frenzy, working themselves up and worrying about the ranking of their site.
Well-prepared webmasters have nothing to worry about. It’s only those webmasters who have put in no effort in the past several years keeping up with trends, or those who have put in the bare minimum, who have something to concern them. Unfortunately, according to Google, as many as 40% of the top websites in the world will be affected.

Mobilegeddon, known as the April 21st Mobile-Friendly Update in Google circles, is rolling out as we speak. The actual Google change has happened already, but you can expect tweaks to occur over the coming months, as well as the turmoil that comes from sites scrambling to adapt and regain their lost positions.
