Sunset and Vine is a great place to live. Everything you need is a short walk away. I can walk to the Walgreens liquor department faster than most people can get to their car from their front door. The pool was recently renovated and the gym is exceptional. Maintenance people are amazing and requests get completed within 24 hours. The security team is super friendly and handle all packages you have delivered and they are always visible scanning and touring the perimeter. My unit always receives compliments with polished concrete floors, higher than average ceilings and newer than average appliances. My hope is you don’t move here so the demand isn’t high and my rent doesn’t go up.
Love sunset + vine. I had to move in the middle of Covid and it was easy easy easy. The apartment is better and bigger than I expected from just being able to do the virtual tour. The amenities are closed right now for corona but from what I can see look great. It’s in the middle of Hollywood so you can expect hustle and bustle but I think that’s the best part. I haven’t been able to hear any of my neighbors. Marissa, Alexa and Caroline (Parking Manager hopefully not getting her name wrong) were so helpful with all of my questions and the parking situation is safe and easy to get situated. I definitely recommend moving in here, you won’t find a better location for this price.

Please lease anywhere but here! The management is super rude and disrespectful. Also, there is a roach infestation that I can complain about I am constantly ignored.
This building has progressively gotten worse as the year has gone by. Management has been changed a handful of times and I don’t blame them, as I’m sure the employees are just as unhappy as the tenants. The quality and treatment they provide for their tenants is sad to say the least. It’s very uncomfortable to even go to the leasing office to address any concerns or comments, whether they be good or bad. When we first moved in a year ago the ladies in the leasing office were super friendly and welcoming, but that quickly changed and I avoid going in at all costs. I can understand that there will be a variety of people that will come live in the building but with that said, management should be more diligent about maintaining the cleanliness of the building. Trash chute areas are continually left with stacks and stacks of trash (I get that tenants can also be much) but the trash is left untouched for days. The hallways show wear and tear horribly. The gym equipment stays ‘out of order’ for weeks on end, and also lack cleanliness. I could address this in person instead of leaving a review, but I fear that if I address it in person, their employee Ian, will only attack instead of help. I had a horrible encounter with him because I lost access to my storage unit when they issued out new fobs and all he did was act in a condescending and harassing manner and upon discovering he was incorrect for acting out, he didn’t even have the decency to apologize. This man went as far as telling me he wasn’t done talking when I told him I would have my husband come down to the leasing office since he could be of more help in explaining why we weren’t being charged for a storage unit. Once the assistant manager came out to speak with me, she did very little to remedy the situation, although she listened I didn’t feel heard and after having to deal with such an unpleasant encounter, I don’t feel much was done to remedy the situation. She did however give me access to the storage unit but that was only because it was specified a “customer service gesture” upon moving in, but she basically stared at me the entire time while I gave her a play by play of how inappropriate her employee was. Cara the assistant manager did share with me that she could hear some of what was going on, and now recently found out that the manager was there too and could also hear. Why would you let your employee act in such a manner?He’s the first person you see when coming to the leasing office, I don’t understand. This experience not only left me feeling uncomfortable, but it leads me to believe that management is feeling overwhelmed with this community and I can appreciate the tasks that come with running a building like this, but it’s no excuse for mistreating someone and not providing at least the bare minimum in customer service. My goal here is not so much to complain of what has already happened, what is done is done. But I will share that caution needs to take place when deciding to live here. You will get treated as if you’re inconveniencing someone or like they’re doing you a favor. I get that LA residents can be a bit demanding, but perhaps learn to gauge every individual before you start treating someone with disrespect for no reason.
The staff here is completely unprofessional. Over 2 months since moving out and still trying to get back my security deposit. They don’t answer or return phone calls & emails. Worst experience I have ever had with an apartment complex period.
Absolute trash. The staff is completely incompetent. Smells like piss everywhere. Homeless people yelling throughout the entire night. Utilities will also cost you at least 2x more than other apartments in the area. On top of that the elevators always break down and smell disgusting. Be aware!
