I have a WordPress site and had not done any technical updates over a 3 yr period. The theme became out of date and had conflicts with new versions of WordPress that were rolled out over the years, until the main pages of the site were starting to break due to code conflicts within the WordPress CMS.I talked with a number of people who had a general idea about what was going wrong but had no idea how to fix it.
