Disappointing business partner. I had been following Turnkey Marketing while I was a vendor working with Facebook to build new product for the automotive industry. The FB team spoke highly of the agency and often featured their case studies. Once I made the transition from dealer vendor to dealership marketing lead… I felt comfortable hiring Turnkey Marketing to manage our paid social strategy. My comfort was affirmed once I spoke to agency leadership. I felt they understood what our dealership was trying to accomplish and would leverage all new FB ad tech to get there. We weren’t trying to do anything extra ordinary… just typical dealership goals. So, we signed the deal. Then came our setup call – whatever comfort I had quickly dissipated moments into the call with our assigned Performance Manager. He was disorganizes, uninformed… I felt like I had to force information out of him. Our campaigns ran for a few months with infrequent and unproductive consultations sporadically sprinkled in (only when I would request them). The agency refused to use our Facebook ad account, and instead deploys our ads in their own, so I was at their mercy to get the reporting I needed to determine ROI. All along I felt the ads could have been better optimized for the premium paid. Lack of meaningful reporting and responsive support forced me to end the relationship. I wouldn’t recommend them to another dealer seeking paid social support.
