SEOblog Interview: Los Angeles SEO Expert Ali Pourvasei from LAD Solutions

We’re excited to have interviewed Los Angeles SEO Expert Ali Pourvasei, from LAD Solutions, for the next installment of our Featured SEO Expert Series!

LAD Solutions is one of SEOblog’s Top SEO companies in Los Angeles.

LAD Solutions is a full-service digital agency and a Premier Google Partner that helps local professional services and eCommerce websites gain more traffic, leads and sales through online marketing strategies like SEO, Google Ads management and web design and development.

What would you say is unique and/or challenging about the LA area SEO industry?

“Los Angeles is a very competitive market in general since it’s one of the largest cities in the world. Being based out of LA, we serve many local clients in Los Angeles. Therefore, ranking their keywords in this market is a lot more challenging than most other markets due to its competitiveness. At times, aggressive link-building would be needed for LA clients but may not be needed for clients in less competitive markets.”

How does your agency stand out in a crowded market like the LA area?

“We mostly stand out based on our positive online reputation and client references and case studies. Also, our website ranks decently in our local market, so we are able to use our own company to showcase our skill set as well.”

Can you share a success story from a local SEO campaign centered around your area? Include any stats and highlights if possible!

“A Local Healthcare College client came to us years ago around 2012 or 2013 after being hit with a Google penalty. We were not only able to remove that penalty, but also get them ranking in top positions of Google for many of the important programs they offer. They are still an active client and once of the longest tenured clients we have.”

What is the best advice you ever received in business?

“Be respectful of other peoples’ time, be honest, be transparent and under-promise and over-deliver.”

What do you think is the most important quality that makes an agency truly great?

“Genuinely caring for our clients’ overall success. Clients may only hire us for a particular service like SEO, but we often help them or offer advice in other facets of their business based on our experience. I, personally, am always available to speak with any of my clients to answer any of their questions or offer guidance in an area that they might not have experience in.”

Any predictions for the future of SEO?

“Hard to say, but I would think more of the same of the current trends. Google’s algorithm will continue to improve and get smarter where search queries will be done more and more in conversational style. Mobile optimization and speed will have greater ranking influence as smartphones continue to increase in power and size. Backlinking or citation building from non-authoritative websites will have minimal influence while establishing yourself as an expert or authoritative figure in your industry by producing high-quality content like blog articles, videos, etc. will have greater influence for ranking on the first page of Google.”

What is your reaction when you hear that “SEO is dying”?

“I shrug it off since I do not agree. There will always be a place for SEO as long as people continue to go on Google to search for services or products. The way one searches might evolve or be different from how they search today, but optimizing websites to rank well in search, I don’t see that dying any time in the near future or ever.”

What do you think is the most important contributor to keeping clients happy?

“Being honest with them and setting clear expectations. The worst thing you can do is over-promise and then under-deliver. Once trust goes away, so does the client.”
