Stanislav Lisunov (Stan) is the CEO of Crowdo, a recognized SEO agency. He has over 10 years of experience in SEO and entrepreneurship.

What would you say is unique and/or challenging about the link building SEO industry?

“I think the dynamic nature of link building makes it a unique industry. The rules of the game change with every Google update. You always need to be on the lookout for new opportunities to get your website to the top and adapt your services to suit the current market landscape. What worked last year is unlikely to work today, and the number of evergreen methods is way too limited to rely on.”

How does your agency stand out in a crowded market like link building?

“In my experience, most link builders are simply trying to fool Google and game the system. They search for quick and cheap solutions and try to automate as much as possible. At Crowdo, our approach is completely different. Our work is entirely manual, and we prioritize quality over quantity at every step of our journey. It might take longer, it might be more expensive, but it simply works better – and we have had thousands of clients who can vouch for it.”

Can you share a success story from a client of yours? Include any stats and highlights if possible!

“Recently we worked with a client who manages a coworking space website in Asia. He ordered a fullstack SEO service from us, and we started with an audit of his website. Thereafter, we proposed a three-stage link building plan, which we executed in just three months. What is the best advice you ever received in business?

“’Aim to be the first, not the best.’

“This means that you should strive to enter the blue ocean market and establish your leadership first, instead of trying to beat your competitors over an established market.”

What do you think is the most important quality that makes an agency truly great?

“If I had to name just one thing, that would be the energy that flows inside the company. Having a proactive and positive vibe among your teammates is one of the key drivers of the company’s success.”

Any predictions for the future of SEO?

“With all the developments in AI, Google will start thinking more like a human than a machine. Algorithms will increasingly favor user experience and convenience, and we can already see it today. I don’t think that link building is going to vanish, but every year it takes more and more effort to get to the top of the search. Building links and stuffing the right keywords is no longer enough, as it once was in the beginning of the search engine era.”

What is your reaction when you hear that “SEO is dying”?

“When I hear this, I roll my eyes. SEO is and will be one of the most cost-effective ways to promote a brand, raise awareness and bring in customers. There’s no way that SEO is going to die or become less promising for businesses anytime soon.”

What do you think is the most important contributor to keeping clients happy?

“There are many factors that play a role here, but I’d highlight a personal approach. One of the keys to keeping clients happy is by treating them as your friends, not ATM machines.”
